YESTERDAY'S ERRORS

At one time or another
Each of us may stumble and fall,
Take a wrong word,
Make a foolish
Or untimely move.

But with any mistake
We can do one of two things:
Let it fester
And grow in our mind,
Brooding over it
Until it looms so large
And becomes so oppressive
That it prevents
Our ever doing it right.

Or, we can learn
From having done it wrong
How to do it right,
Making yesterday's error
Our servant,
So that it becomes
Not a leaden millstone
Under which we stumble,
But the stepping-stone
For moving forward.

Let me guide your to "moving" forward.
