CHARGE IT

If you mind feels plain run down,
In complete exhaustion bound,
Don't think you've reached the bitter end;
You can bring it to life again.

Your brain's a kind of battery
That weakens at times, you'll see,
If thought-impluses on which it runs
Are just yours--and those the only ones!

Simply read a book or a magazine;
Ponder others' words and themes.
And it should come as no surprise
Your mind's quite soon revitalized.

Not necessarily at a given year
